A lot of officers collect patches. I started collecting buttons instead. This is one of many I’ll share going forward.

Canton de Vaud Gendarmarie
With a history dating back to pre-historic times, Vaud has been inhabited by the Celts, Caesar and the Romans, and Germans, among others. Encompassing over 1,240 square miles, Vaud has a population at nearly 800,000. The Gendarmarie, or police, have been around since 1804. This button is stamped on the reverse “AGRU SUPER.”
